Custom retail packaging — shelf-facing boxes

Custom retail packaging that works on the shelf.

Boxes designed for the two seconds a shopper gives them: windows that show the product, hang tabs that hold a peg, panels that carry the brand and the facts. Folding cartons, display trays and printed sleeves, made to your product and your retailer's requirements.

What retail packaging has to do

Sell the product before anyone picks it up.

Retail packaging is judged from a meter away, on a shelf, next to competitors. It has to be found, read and trusted quickly — which is a structural problem as much as a graphic one. A window shows the product; a hang tab gets it to eye level on a peg; a display tray keeps a dozen units tidy at the counter; a matte-laminated front panel photographs well and resists scuffing on the way.

We build retail packaging as a system: the carton or box, the insert that holds the product to the window, the shelf-ready outer if the retailer needs it, and the finishing that makes the brand read.

Custom sizing

Sized to the product — and the fixture

Retail packaging has two sets of dimensions: the product's and the shelf's. Send both — the product's L × W × D and any retailer requirements for facing width, peg hole position, case count or shelf height — and we design to fit, with the window placed where the product shows best and the front panel sized for the artwork and the compliance copy it has to carry.

Materials & finishing

Board that reads on the shelf.

Retail print is looked at closely and handled often, so the board and finish are chosen for color accuracy and scuff resistance: a coated SBS that holds a Pantone match, a matte or soft-touch lamination that hides fingerprints, and a window film that stays clear on the shelf.

How it works

From product to shelf-ready packaging.

You do not need a dieline, a spec sheet or print-ready artwork to start. You need to know roughly what you are packing.

  1. Tell us what you're packing

Product dimensions, weight, quantity and what the box has to survive. A photo or sketch is enough to start.

  2. Fit the product and the fixture

We design the carton, tray or sleeve to the product's dimensions and to the shelf — facing width, peg hole position, case count — and issue a dieline with the window, hang tab and glue areas marked.

  3. Board, print & compliance panels

SBS in a gauge that stands up on the shelf, full-color print with barcodes and regulatory panels laid out legibly, and a matte or soft-touch lamination that resists scuffing in handling.

  4. Proof & production

You approve a proof before anything is cut. Cartons and trays are delivered flat to fill on your line. Quantities and lead time are stated in writing.

  5. Delivery

Finished packaging is delivered free to your address in the United States, flat or assembled as the structure requires. Allow 3–5 working days for ground shipping after production.

Retail packaging questions

Before you ask.

Anything not covered here, put it in the notes on your quote and we will answer it directly.

Ask on your quote

What counts as retail packaging?

Packaging designed to sell a product from a shelf, peg or counter: cartons with windows or hang tabs, display trays, sleeves and shelf-ready outers.

Can you print barcodes and regulatory panels?

Yes. Barcodes, ingredient panels, warnings and retailer-required marks are laid out on the dieline with your artwork. You supply the content; we make sure it prints legibly.

Do you make display trays?

Yes — printed E-flute counter and shelf trays, sized to the product and the case count.

What finish photographs best?

Matte or soft-touch lamination reduces glare and fingerprints; spot UV or foil on the logo gives contrast without reflection across the whole panel.

What do you need to quote?

Product dimensions (L × W × D), quantity, the structure or style you have in mind, material or finish preferences if you have them, and what the box is holding. A product photo helps.

What artwork files do you need?

Print-ready vector artwork — AI, PDF or EPS — with fonts outlined and images at 300 dpi, laid onto the dieline we supply. If you only have a logo, our design team prepares the print-ready files with you.

Can I get a sample before the full run?

Standalone samples are chargeable, because making one box or a handful takes the same setup and production steps as a full run. On a qualifying bulk order, once the order is placed we produce a pre-production sample for your approval at no extra sample charge, and the remaining quantity runs after you approve it.

How long does production take?

Standard production is 10–12 working days from proof approval and payment. Ground shipping adds 3–5 working days, and delivery is free on every order.

Do you work with agencies and resellers?

Yes. Agencies, designers, print brokers and resellers place packaging with us under their own client relationship; see Agency & Trade Partners for how a partner job runs.
